Tracking how throat cancer patients use a key breathing aid
NCT ID NCT05036330
Summary
This study aims to understand what influences how often patients use a special breathing device after their voice box is surgically removed due to throat cancer. Researchers will observe 130 adults who use the ProvoxLife HME, a single-use device that warms and moistens air entering their windpipe. By having patients fill out questionnaires, the study seeks to learn which factors affect device use and how it relates to their quality of life, without testing a new treatment.
