New drug trial offers hope for Tough-to-Treat advanced cancers

NCT ID NCT06956690

Summary

This is the first study in people to test a new drug called HMBD-501 for advanced cancers that have a specific marker called HER3 and have stopped responding to standard treatments. The main goals are to find a safe dose and see if the drug can help shrink or control tumors in patients with cancers like melanoma, non-small cell lung cancer, and breast cancer. The trial will first test increasing doses in a small group, then expand to more patients at the chosen dose to see how well it works.
