HMB supplement may speed muscle recovery after ACL surgery in female athletes

Summary

This study tests whether a supplement called HMB can help female athletes regain muscle size and strength after ACL knee surgery. About 30 women will take either HMB or a placebo daily during their recovery. Researchers will measure muscle changes and strength over several months to see if HMB speeds up recovery.
