Scientists test new HIV vaccine strategy in healthy volunteers

NCT ID NCT03220724

Summary

This study tested the safety and immune response of several experimental HIV vaccines in healthy adults who do not have HIV. The main goal was to see if the vaccine shots were safe and if they could trigger the body to produce antibodies that might fight the virus. Researchers enrolled 117 participants and gave them a series of injections over several months to monitor for side effects and measure immune responses.
