NCT ID NCT04951986
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tests whether giving higher doses of the TB drug rifampicin plus an additional antibiotic (levofloxacin) for 14 days, with or without steroids, can save more lives in adults hospitalized with both HIV and disseminated TB (TB that has spread throughout the body). About 732 participants will receive one of four treatment combinations. The goal is to see if these stronger treatments reduce deaths more than standard care alone.
