New program aims to tackle HIV's hidden challenges: depression, trauma, and hunger
NCT ID NCT06152003
Summary
This study is developing and testing a counseling program for people with HIV in South Africa. The program aims to help participants manage common, interconnected struggles like depression, trauma, and food insecurity, which can make it harder to stick to HIV medication. Researchers will work with 60 participants to see if the program is practical and acceptable, and if it helps improve medication adherence and mental health.
