Can video calls with a coach help young people beat HIV?
NCT ID NCT04499781
Summary
This study tested a support program to help young Black and Hispanic adults with HIV take their daily medication more consistently. Participants were randomly assigned to either have weekly video calls with a trained peer coach or to use a self-guided online education website. The main goal was to see if the coaching improved medication adherence and led to lower levels of the virus in the blood.
