First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a text-message-based program to help trans girls and nonbinary youth (ages 14-18) prevent HIV. Participants receive messages and surveys on their phones to encourage HIV testing and use of PrEP (a daily pill that prevents HIV). The goal is to see if this approach can be scaled up to reach thousands of young people quickly and affordably.
