Thai study tests new approach to stop HIV spread in High-Risk communities

NCT ID NCT05161689

Summary

This study tested a community-based program called HUG-M+ designed to prevent HIV among young Thai men who have sex with men. Researchers compared two cities—one using the new program and one using standard care—to see if the program increased regular HIV testing and reduced risky sexual behavior. The goal was to create a better prevention approach that could be expanded across Thailand and other regions if successful.
