Local program aims to curb HIV in vulnerable alabama community
NCT ID NCT03680729
Summary
This study tested a community-based program designed to help prevent HIV among Black young men who have sex with men in Alabama. Researchers adapted an existing program to include rapid HIV testing, prevention education, and referrals for preventive medication (PrEP). The goal was to see if this updated, culturally tailored approach was acceptable and could increase testing and prevention in this high-risk group.
