Family planning clinics become HIV prevention hubs for young women
NCT ID NCT04666792
Summary
This project aimed to make HIV prevention services more accessible by integrating them into existing family planning clinics in Kenya. The program trained family planning staff to screen young women for HIV risk and offer PrEP medication to prevent infection. Researchers evaluated how well this integrated approach worked across 12 clinics serving over 25,000 women in a region with high HIV rates.
