First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study tests a new program where people at risk for HIV can get a prescription for prevention pills (PrEP) right in the emergency department, instead of having to go to a separate clinic. A navigator helps them get their first dose and schedule a follow-up appointment. The goal is to see if this approach helps more people start and stay on HIV prevention. The study will enroll 250 adults in Dallas.
