Scientists test new mRNA shots in quest for an HIV vaccine

Summary
This is an early-stage study testing three different experimental mRNA vaccines designed to prevent HIV infection. It will enroll 96 healthy, HIV-negative adults in South Africa to check if the vaccines are safe and if they trigger a helpful immune response. The study will test two different dose levels and compare results to a placebo (inactive shot) group.
