First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests two simple ways to reduce pain from HIV injections: changing the injection site (hip vs. buttock) and using a virtual reality headset during the shot. About 120 people with HIV will try all four combinations and rate their pain for a week. The goal is to find the most comfortable way to receive these long-acting HIV medications.
