Researchers test if HIV drugs and Gender-Affirming hormones work safely together
NCT ID NCT06005610
Summary
This study aimed to understand if common HIV medications work properly when taken alongside feminizing hormone therapy (estradiol) in transgender women living with HIV. Researchers followed 93 participants for 48 weeks to check drug levels in their blood and see if the hormone therapy remained effective. The goal was to provide clearer guidance so people can safely manage both HIV treatment and gender-affirming care without worrying about interactions.
