Trial tests best path forward for HIV patients with drug resistance
NCT ID NCT06747507
Summary
This study aims to find the best treatment strategy for people with HIV whose current dolutegravir (DTG) medication is no longer fully effective due to drug resistance. Researchers will randomly assign 392 participants, including some children, to either continue their DTG-based treatment or switch to a different combination (darunavir/ritonavir). The main goal is to see which approach better controls the virus after 6 months.
