Scientists test HIV drug safety when taken with TB medication
NCT ID NCT07199452
Summary
This study tested how an experimental HIV drug called MK-4646 interacts with a common tuberculosis medication called rifabutin. Researchers gave both drugs to 18 healthy volunteers to measure how rifabutin affects MK-4646 levels in the blood and to check for safety issues. The goal was to gather information for future HIV treatment development, not to treat any disease.
