HIV patients may ditch daily pills for Twice-Yearly antibody shots

NCT ID NCT05275998

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a combination of two lab-made antibodies, TMB-365 and TMB-380, in 51 adults with HIV whose virus was already controlled by daily oral medication. The goal was to see if switching to these antibody infusions every 8 weeks could keep the virus suppressed safely. Results will show whether this approach could offer a long-acting alternative to daily pills, but it is not a cure—patients would still need ongoing treatment.
