NCT ID NCT02881320
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study is testing a new once-daily pill (Bictegravir/Emtricitabine/Tenofovir Alafenamide) for HIV-1 in adolescents and children. The goal is to see how the drug works in the body, confirm the right dose, and check its safety. About 177 participants aged 2 to 17 who already have their HIV under control will take the pill for up to 48 weeks. This is not a cure, but aims to keep the virus suppressed with a simpler treatment.
