Sound waves target liver cancer in new trial

NCT ID NCT04573881

Summary

This trial is testing a device called the HistoSonics System, which uses focused ultrasound waves to destroy liver tumors without surgery or radiation. It's for adults with liver cancer or tumors that have spread to the liver from other cancers, who haven't responded well to other treatments. The main goals are to see if the treatment successfully covers the tumor and to check for any serious side effects within the first month.
