First seen Apr 17, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study tests a special scanner that lets surgeons check if all cancer has been removed during breast-conserving surgery, right in the operating room. The goal is to see if this real-time check reduces the need for a second surgery. About 228 women with certain types of breast cancer will take part.
