Doctors test which surgery works best for rare childhood bowel disorder

NCT ID NCT07410286

Summary

This study compared two different surgical methods, called Swenson and Soave, for treating children with Hirschsprung's disease, a condition where part of the bowel lacks the nerves needed to move stool. The main goal was to see if one technique took less time to perform. Researchers also looked at how well children's bowel function improved after each surgery.
