Hip surgery patients walk sooner in new study

NCT ID NCT05720806

First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people who had hip surgery for a torn labrum and hip impingement could safely put weight on their leg as soon as they felt able, instead of waiting weeks. Researchers followed 49 patients to see if this approach improved pain, function, and quality of life. The goal was to find out if earlier walking leads to a faster and better recovery.
