New nerve block technique could revolutionize pain relief after hip surgery
NCT ID NCT07327892
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to manage pain after hip surgery in adults aged 65 and older. Researchers will compare three different pain control methods: a newer ultrasound-guided nerve block, a standard injection given during surgery, and a combination of both. The goal is to determine which approach provides the most effective pain relief while helping patients get moving sooner with fewer side effects.
