New nerve block could make hip surgery positioning less painful

NCT ID NCT07467356

Summary

This study compares two different nerve block techniques to see which one better helps patients with hip fractures get into position for spinal anesthesia. Researchers want to know if a newer block method works better than a more established one at reducing pain during this critical step. The trial involves 90 adults undergoing hip surgery and will measure pain levels, medication needs, and recovery quality.
