New nerve block technique tested for hip surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07109388

Summary

This study compares two different nerve block methods for managing pain after hip replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if a newer single injection (PENG block) works as well as a combination of three separate injections for reducing pain medication needs. The study will include 50 adults having repeat hip replacement surgery and will measure their pain levels and medication use after surgery.
