Study tests which hip surgery gets seniors back on their feet faster
NCT ID NCT07409909
Summary
This study compared two common hip replacement surgeries for active elderly patients with a specific type of broken hip. It aimed to find out which surgery—a full hip replacement or a partial replacement—leads to better hip function and mobility after recovery. The trial involved 40 patients aged 65 and older who were still active before their injury.
