NCT ID NCT03724058
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study compares two types of hip replacement cups (Trident II and Trident Hemi) to see if they provide equal stability and fixation in the bone. About 87 adults aged 40-75 needing a first hip replacement will be tracked for up to 10 years using special X-ray techniques. The goal is to ensure the new cup design performs as well as the current standard to reduce the risk of loosening over time.
