Doctors test gentler way to remove surgical drains after hip replacement
NCT ID NCT03789266
Summary
This study compared two different techniques for removing surgical drains after hip replacement surgery to find which method causes less pain for patients. Researchers worked with 87 patients who had hip replacements, measuring their pain during drain removal using a standard pain scale. The goal was to identify the least painful approach to improve patient comfort during this common post-surgical procedure.
