First seen Dec 10, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tested a new treatment for hip osteoarthritis using a person's own fat tissue. Doctors took a small amount of fat, broke it up to release stem cells, and injected it into the painful hip joint. The goal was to see if it was safe and could reduce pain and improve movement over 12 months. 30 adults aged 40-70 with mild to moderate hip arthritis took part.
