Summary

This study looked at whether special hip muscle exercises could help older adults improve their balance and prevent falls. Researchers worked with 97 healthy adults aged 65 and older. They compared a new type of fast, powerful hip training to standard strength training to see which better improves sideways stepping—a key movement for catching yourself from falling.
