Doctors track tiny movements in hip implants

NCT ID NCT04070989

Summary

This study aimed to measure how much a specific hip replacement cup settles or shifts inside the bone during the first two years after surgery. It involved 100 people with severe hip arthritis needing a total hip replacement. Researchers used special X-ray techniques to track tiny movements of the implant and asked patients about their pain and function.
