Scientists probe why some hip bones hurt and others Don't

NCT ID NCT06272292

Summary

This study aims to understand why some people with a specific hip bone shape experience pain (called Femoroacetabular Impingement or FAI) while others with the same shape do not. Researchers will compare movement patterns, muscle strength, and posture in 99 men—some with painful FAI, some with the bone shape but no pain, and some with normal hips. The goal is to learn more about what causes the pain to improve future diagnosis and treatment.
