Summary
This study reviewed medical records of nearly 1,000 patients who had surgery for a broken hip. Researchers wanted to know how often blood-pressure-raising drugs were used during surgery and whether that was linked to death within 30, 90, or 365 days. The goal was to better understand patterns of care, not to test a new treatment.
