Breakthrough study aims to find best surgery for elderly hip fractures

NCT ID NCT03713853

Summary

This study aims to find the best surgical treatment for hip socket fractures in people aged 60 and older. It will compare two common surgeries: one that fixes the bone with plates and screws, and another that combines that repair with a total hip replacement. Researchers will follow patients for two years to see which approach leads to better pain relief, mobility, and quality of life.
