Researchers probe hip Ligament's role in childhood hip problems

NCT ID NCT07356921

Summary

This study aims to better understand how a specific hip ligament functions in children with developmental hip dysplasia (DDH), a condition where the hip joint doesn't form properly. Researchers will examine 50 children whose previous non-surgical and simple surgical treatments failed, looking at how the ligamentum teres ligament affects hip stability. The goal is to gather knowledge that could help doctors select better candidates for hip preservation surgery in the future.
