First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looked at whether adding high-intensity interval training (HIIT) to regular taekwondo practice for eight weeks improves agility, kick speed, and jumping in young athletes. Twenty male taekwondo athletes aged 16 to 18 took part. The experimental group did HIIT three times a week alongside their usual training, while the control group only did regular training. Researchers measured performance before and after the program to see if HIIT made a difference.
