NCT ID NCT07273058
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether high-intensity interval training (HIIT) can reduce fatigue in people who have had a stroke. Sixty chronic stroke survivors with fatigue will be randomly assigned to HIIT, moderate exercise, or stretching for 12 weeks. The main goal is to see if the program is practical and acceptable, while also measuring changes in fatigue and inflammation.

What this could lead to
If it works, this could point toward an exercise program that helps reduce fatigue in people who have had a stroke.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early pilot study with only 60 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The main goal is to see if the program is feasible, not to prove it works.
