Can intense workouts ease Veterans' breathing woes?

NCT ID NCT05849168

Summary

This small pilot study explored whether a supervised high-intensity interval training (HIIT) exercise program could improve fitness and reduce symptoms in veterans who developed new breathing problems after deployment. Twelve veterans with deployment-related respiratory symptoms completed a 12-week program of cycling workouts and home exercises. Researchers measured changes in their exercise capacity, heart function, and quality of life to see if the training helped.
