Summary
This study tested whether short bursts of intense exercise followed by rest periods could help older adults stay fit and independent. Thirty-nine adults over 60 participated in a supervised exercise program three times a week. The results showed improvements in strength, flexibility, balance, and endurance, suggesting this type of exercise can help older adults maintain their ability to perform daily activities.
