First seen Jun 13, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at how high altitude (3600 meters) affects sleep-disordered breathing in women depending on their menstrual cycle phase. 91 healthy, non-smoking women aged 18-44 participated. Researchers measured oxygen levels and breathing patterns during sleep to see if the menstrual cycle influences how women's breathing changes at high altitude.
