First seen Nov 17, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a high-thoracic erector spinae plane block can reduce pain and improve diaphragm function after posterior cervical spine surgery. Fifty adults undergoing this painful neck surgery received either the nerve block or standard care. Researchers measured pain scores and breathing using ultrasound to see if the block offers better recovery.
