First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 32 times
Summary
This study looked at whether a high-sensitivity blood test for troponin I can accurately determine the stage of a heart attack (from mild to severe) without needing MRI scans. Researchers analyzed data from 312 adults who had a specific type of heart attack (STEMI) and had a stent placed. The goal is to make diagnosis faster and easier, especially in hospitals without advanced imaging.
