New chemo strategy aims to outsmart aggressive myeloma

NCT ID NCT00869232

First seen May 25, 2026 ยท Last updated May 25, 2026

Summary

This study tests a different way of giving chemotherapy to people with a high-risk form of multiple myeloma. Instead of high doses with long breaks, patients get lower doses of several drugs in shorter cycles. The goal is to keep the cancer from growing back between treatments, leading to longer remissions and better survival. About 90 newly diagnosed patients with high-risk features will take part.
