Scientists test if CT scans can see more detail

NCT ID NCT02610465

Summary

This study tested whether new computer processing methods could create higher-resolution, more detailed images from regular CT scans. Researchers enrolled 148 adults who were already scheduled for CT scans for heart or lung conditions. They compared the standard CT images with enhanced versions created using special research techniques to see if the clearer pictures provided better information.
