NCT ID NCT07271043
First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special high-protein drink can help overweight or obese adults with type 2 diabetes preserve muscle mass while they start taking popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic or Mounjaro. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the drink or a placebo, and researchers will measure changes in lean muscle over time. The goal is to find a simple way to prevent muscle loss during effective diabetes and weight management.
