First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tests whether a special high-protein drink can help overweight or obese adults with type 2 diabetes preserve lean muscle mass while they start taking weight-loss medications like Ozempic or Mounjaro. About 60 participants will be randomly assigned to receive the protein drink or a standard drink for several weeks. The main goal is to see if the high-protein formula helps maintain muscle, which is important for overall health and strength.
