Summary

This study compares high flow oxygen to standard oxygen in 1,600 adults with dangerously low blood oxygen (acute hypoxemia) at five hospitals in East Africa. Participants are randomly assigned to receive either high flow oxygen through a large nasal cannula or standard oxygen via masks or small tubes.
