First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study compared high-flow nasal oxygen (HFNO) to standard noninvasive ventilation in 51 people with moderate COPD flare-ups. The goal was to see if HFNO could improve blood oxygen and acid levels over 24 hours. Researchers also tracked safety and whether patients needed a breathing tube. Results may offer a more comfortable option for managing COPD attacks.
