Could a nasal airflow device ease breathlessness at end of life?

NCT ID NCT07552935

First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether high-flow nasal therapy can help relieve severe breathlessness in people receiving palliative care. About 40 adults with advanced illness will receive both the nasal therapy and a fan blowing air on their face for 30 minutes each. Researchers will compare how much each method eases breathing difficulty, aiming to improve comfort for those with incurable conditions.
